License To, err, License.
Every month Aperture Music would snail mail thousands of discs. The licensing company needed to send curated playlists to music supervisors so that their songs would be considered for placement in television shows and feature films. I built a Rails application that lets users browse Aperture’s extensive library literally on their own terms. Users could now create taxonomies and shuttle playlists back and forth with others. A few months after launch, Aperture saw their sales increase by 25%.
